I'd say this is somewhat of a narrow issue, but many liberatarians would debate it, so I can go with it.

no, i mean regulate. my position is that the government should stay out of it completely.  my taxes should not change once i marry.  it should not be "recognized" by  a state.  states should have absolutely no role in marriage whatsoever.  our other issues related to same sex marriage.  this relates to marriage in general.

We debate this issue to some degree already on the site, so I guess it's debatable. I'm okay with it. I wonder, though, if you're not really asking, Should the government define marriage? There may not even be a material difference between that and this.
