I think "which party will do better" is a hell of a lot more interesting to debate rather  than "will Repubs fare well int he Northeast?"

    Cool

I think this is ready to go, I don't detect any bias, and apparently it is relevant.

i'm surprised at Brian's comment.  I figured he would be the only blogger into this issue!  Anyway, it's one of the issues being discussed right now so I advocate for its approval on wIs.  We want to be on top of every possible angle relating to the election.  I  would rather have too many issues than too few issues.

    i say approve it.

How will Republicans fare in the Northeast?
    They will pick up seats.
    They will lose seats.
    No change

i disagree. connecticut is blue as hell, but the others, as well as pennsylvania, can always go either way and could be the dark horse in a race where everyone is focusing on the south and inner west, it seems.

alternatively, i'd be okay with an issue like "who will do better in the northeast? GOP/Dems," because maybe its a little more balanced, and it does seem like there are a LOT of races in this neck of the woods this year - pretty much every northeastern state has a senate race. ok, i'll put away the 8-ball now.

I know this was up on the Post and we need some issues rolling on this topic, but I just am not feeling this one.  I've never heard this before.  I know we have a "will Democrats win seats in the south" so this is it's sister, but it's not the same.  New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, Connecticut, etc. are all states that aren't really blue or red.  It's not like debating whether the Democrats have a shot at gaining seats in Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma or South Carolina.
