"Is President Bush faithfully committed to reducing our dependence on oil?" or something that gets at whether people actually believe Bush when he says that we must wean ourselves from oil, or that b/c of his relations to oil folks, he will actually take significant steps on this front.

Which energy proposal? There are lots of them. ANWR, coal, nuclear, ethanol, etc. I honestly don't know what in particular you're talking about here.
it seems biased bc it reads "president bush's energy proposal". does it have another name???

Is this issue being revised to "should the US reduce its oil dependence?" because i don't really see the debate there. i think we had an issue along those lines elsewhere on the site and i don't know what happened to it, but i think the same rationale applies. When even George W. Bush, the erstwhile oil baron, says we're addicted to oil, there has ceased to be a reasonable debate on the subject. As far as Bush's proposal, that's debatable, though I can't say I was aware that he had an energy proposal, other than investing a few million in hydrogen cars and ethanol made with coal.
I likey...
