    I really don't like this question. I have no difficulty answering it negatively, but even asking the question in such a loaded way pretty well determines the outcome. I think we should archive it.

    I guess we just moved this here from the now-defunct "creation vs. evolution" topic. As such, I'd be fine with greenlighting it as is, though I'm not in love with the scare quotes around "alternatives" and some other aspects of the issue. How about this:

    Are there legitimate scientific alternatives to the theory of evolution?

    The 'peer reviewed' bit seems kind of redundant. Any takers, or should we just leave this as is?
